English 10

Today, we reviewed Chapter One of To Kill A Mockingbird, answered some chapter questions, wrote a journal entry, read Chapter Two, and reviewed the IB project for the novel unit (a visual journal of the book).

The two quick write journal topics we have done so far are as follows:

Dec. 16 -- Tell what you considered to be an act of bravery when you were a child, and then describe what you consider to be an act of bravery today.

Jan. 5 -- Think back to your elementary school days.  Describe a favourite early memory and your worst early memory.

Your journal entries should be at minimum half a page in length, double spaced.

For homework, make sure your quick write journals are complete and answer the questions on Chapter Two.  If you would like to hear an audio version of the novel, look at the right sidebar of this blog.  Click on "Grade 10 Novel".  Here, you will find MP3 recordings for most of the chapters.  Also, note that your first IB visual response journal entry is due next Tuesday, January 13th.
