Your final five visual journals will be due when the classes finish reading the novel.  You can improve your journal marks by making the changes I've given you and by looking carefully at the rubric for the assignment.  Here is a refresher for what is necessary:

1. For every three chapters, select a quotation.
2. Explain where in the novel this quotation appears.
3. Explain why you chose this quotation (This should include what appealed to you personally about it and why this quote is significant to the story.  Does it tell you more about the characters or the themes in the novel? A more detailed response is better )
4. Include an image (or images) in your response and explain why you have included it (them).  If you are not a good artist, use collage or photos from the internet.  Use symbolic images or cartoons based on the same topics; try to be creative in your thought processes.
