When we return from Spring Break, we will review the last of the vocabulary from The Outsiders, and the next day, we will have a test on those 20 words. Also, I will collect your comics assignment for The Outsiders on March 30 or 31, depending upon which day your class falls. The original due date was March 27, but you might need an extra weekend to do this assignment, hence the extension.
The comics assignment will consist of 12 - 16 (maximum) cartoon boxes, that, when read together, tell the story of any one of the characters from the novel except Ponyboy. Make sure that your comic flows logically to tell your character's story. It should communicate a beginning, a middle, and an end. As well, your comic should stay faithful to the story you just read. You may add extra information or scenes, but they should still fit logically within the narrative framework of S.E. Hinton's novel.
