English 10

On Monday and Tuesday, we'll review for  the short story unit test on Wednesday.  On Thursday, you will get a sight story you've never seen before, and I'll ask you questions on it.  On Friday, you will present your short story projects.

This weekend, review your short story terms from the handout I gave you.   Also, fill in your review sheets for "Lamb to the Slaughter" by Roald Dahl, "The Inheritor" by Frank Roberts, and "The Doll's House" by Katherine Mansfield.  On Monday, you'll complete sheets for "The Telltale Heart" by Edgar Allan Poe, and "The Metaphor" by Budge Wilson.

Here is the format for Wednesday's test:

• 10 fill in the blank questions (bolded words on terms handout)—10 marks
• 5 short answer questions on literary theory (bolded words & how they relate to stories we've read) – 20 marks
• 10 short answer questions on specific stories –20 marks
• 1 paragraph question (you’ll have 4 options from which to choose) – 10 marks
