English Lit

On Friday, we finished discussing "Whoso List to Hunt" and looked briefly at the write up on p.149 on the poet.  Then, we read the two poems on page 162 and had a debate about the character with whom we sympathized the most. For homework, students are to read 6 Shakespearean sonnets on pp. 166-169 and do a Q and Q on each for Tuesday.  

On Monday, students reading Into the Wild and Fifth Business with do fishbowls on their novels.  The class will discuss the Shakespearean sonnets on Tuesday and Wednesday.  On Thursday and Friday of next week, we'll watch the movie Elizabeth with Cate Blanchet.

I will assign some readings from the textbook next week, and I'll post them to this blog.
